Ciáran Mc Donagh

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (MPCC) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association. I have attained a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy along with a diploma in addiction recovery. I have over twenty years experience working in the counselling field helping clients to navigate any situation in their lives.

I’m always on a journey of self discovery. By attending supervision, I gather new skills to help you on your journey. This process also requires me to sit in the chair of the client, therefore I fully understand how difficult it is to make the first steps to start the counselling journey.

You’ll see my approach is client centered, that comes from a nonjudgmental place. I have vast experience working with clients, drawing from and using a number of different therapeutic tools to support my clients to find a better path in life.

My areas of specialties are anxiety, addiction and grief. I have experience working with a variety of clients including: brain injury, concussion, relationship struggles, depression, Men’s Issues, Anger Management, Emotional Disturbance, trauma and more.

I fully understand you may have visited a lot of counselling websites trying to decide which counsellor is the right fit for you. So let me suggest a short phone call with myself, to see if I am a fit for you.

The Symbol

The symbol is taken from the druids. The meaning of each ray of light has a different meaning depending on which culture’s interpretation you draw from. Some believe that the rays of light represent the three divisions of the soul: mind, body and spirit. Several other versions of the rays of light can be interpreted as the Underworld, the Middleworld and the Upperworld. OR Love, Wisdom and Truth. OR Nature, Knowledge and Truth.

The hexagon surrounding the rays of light represents the many different sides each person has as they move through their lives.
